This past Friday we had our first Ignite Service at our church. There was an expectancy that you could feel when you entered the building. We started the service with Worship and God moved in our time of worship. This Friday was also Good Friday so the words of the songs we sang took on a different meaning. As we sang the words from "Hosanna" I could hear God speak to me...we sang "heal my heart and make me clean, open up my eyes to the things unseen, show me how to love like you have loved me, break my heart for what breaks yours, everything I have for your kingdoms cause. As I walk from earth into eternity." Those words set the stage for what would take place later.
We then had a short drama that showed how many times we only want Jesus when its convenient for us, then we nail him back to the cross when we want to do our own thing. Afterwards we went into the preaching. The message challenges us to love the outcast. To love those that nobody else give attention to. We heard how God meets us right where we are, and he doesn't care what we have done, but he loves us.
After we finished in communion and sang one last worship song. Thank you all who attended we had 4 salvations!!!
